| Ive got on UFO Hunters of the History channel.Jer,have you seen the show in which Mr.Birnes and his associate interview the black man that has had numerous sightings, perhaps encounters? Now this wasnt a half bad show and I was into it until...Bill Birnes said to the guy "You are a Hybrid",hes ruining that show Jer and Im not kidding.Ill bet his e-mails went out of sight when he said that.Of course hes got the guy believing this so the guy comes back and says Well Im not surprised, not really and then goes on to explain hes got a rare blood disorder. I thought this was supposed to have a serious side to it,the only redeeming scene was his partner like to take his head off for ever saying to this guy that hes a hybrid.Im sure Im not the only one that was flabbergasted by this.

I watched a few minutes of that show this afternoon, Carol, but I missed the part where they told the guy he was a hybrid. Hmmm, wonder if that means he runs on both gas and electric? Seriously, it's this kind of show-boat nonsense that just kills the credibility of these shows. As silly as Sci-Fi's Ghost Hunters show can be, you never ever hear them going off the deep end and saying that the strange noises they heard are absolutely the shades of dear departed Aunt Bertha. Why do these UFO shows feel compelled to make these wacky assertions?

| the thing that doesnt come across is that to look at Birnes you would think he ate a bag of nails for breakfast,he looks tough, kind of a no nonsense fella, then he comes out and says things like ,"Your a hybrid "and the credibility of the show goes right down the toilet. It wouldnt be a bad idea to have Mr.Birnes sit out a few shows and leave it to his buddy. Oh,while Im thinking of it,there was an intersting portion of the show that followed.Seems that the first guy had his sighting and maybe an interaction then they interviewed someone that lives on the Great Lakes I believe, both the black guy and this guy had sightings, the other guy white, said he had been having experiences since he was a child. Then someone got the idea to compare the blood of both individuales and as it turned out they both had similiar peculiarities in their blood workups, that was interesting I thought. I dont remember what they called the disease in the blood but I do remember that its seen when an individuale has had muscle trama.

I've only seen one episode (Betty & Barney Hill). So in this episode, when he says that, is there any editing around it or does he really say that to the guy? _________________ http://www.cultureofcontact.com is LAUNCHED!

I'll take a look at it on youtube if it's there. Gotta say, though, at heart this is an entertainment show not a real research show. They've gotta create drama somehow. (For better or for worse.) _________________ http://www.cultureofcontact.com is LAUNCHED!

| Groan,I was afraid of that. But has ufology really sunk this low that Birnes says the guy is a hybrid and thinks he can actually not get called on the carpet for it? How many people watching that show now think they are hybrids? Jer if its on YouTube can you bring it here for all to see?

Okay, just watched it. I wonder if he didn't say that--if that interview didn't take place--after all of the tests on the guy. However, the other UFO Hunter takes Bill to task for saying that to him so...I don't see the problem. If he'd not been scolded, sure. But he was. _________________ http://www.cultureofcontact.com is LAUNCHED!

well Im only one individuale but Ive thought in the last few episodes that Birnes comes across as shooting from the lip. Hes got his mind made up already and even shows his impatience with any kind of investigation scientific or otherwise. Whats he doing on that show anyway,I mean it what is his role if he isnt an investigator? Did you hear him tell that guy that all the sightings he had means that the guy is being conditioned for future contact,I mean shees.Hes lucky that guy didnt pop him one.

I saw the show and I don't recall if he said the man was a hybrid but both ufo witnesses had an unusal blood disorder, but the doctor said there was no way he could connect it to seeing ufos or aliens.
Birnes ruins the credibility and objectivity of the show for me. He's goes over the top with many of his comments and you can almost see the other two guys cringe when he says things like 'aliens are here and I know it' ...., etc.

I hear what you two are saying and quite possibly I'm an apologist but... Birnes is a showman. This is a show. It's no more about real science than is Ghost Hunters, so I don't hold his feet to the fire. _________________ http://www.cultureofcontact.com is LAUNCHED!

I'm not holding his feet to the fire and I think the show is mildly entertaining but he comes off as a naive bleever at times ..imo.
I would like to see them spend an episode or two with Friedman or Vallee or Dolan ..it might gve some credibility or at least some needed depth to the show. _________________ "Some say the valley has always been haunted ever since River ran.

| I hope Vallee turns them down, his thoughts are spectacular on the subject, but its not for everyone and on this show in particular his suggestions would be lost on the audience,if this show has a following and if they are people that already believe than Vallee wont make any headway.Youve got to be ready to read or listen to Vallee, his ideas are that far removed from creatures from outer space.

| Birnes - he who brought us Phil Corso - has no business being on TV, but it's all about ego with him, and product placement (oh, those UFO Magazine hats), and long-tail revenue streams, not about good cases, or finding the truth. I caught a couple of episodes while I was in the US recently, and at best the show is mediocre, and at worst Birnes single-handedly makes it unwatchable, at least for me.

| I feel the same way Paul, hes not going to do the show any good, except those that watch and believe every bit of nonsense they here must be delighted,Im not,Im a tad disappointed. Its so much more powerful to do a show like this and have the audience make up their own minds and better yet think about what theve seen and actually have questions ,those questions alone could be a shown devoted just to viewers questions.
