I think the Republicans would love to run against Hillary. She and Bill are easy targets. Running against Obama would be trickier - at least from the perspective that the PC police would be on high alert to pounce on anything remotely smacking of racism.

The real question for me is: what exactly is Obama's platform? What does he intend to do and how he will do it? He can clamor about change all he wants but if he doesn't have a workable plan for effecting change, this country will drift another four years.

What's more, Obama doesn't seem to have a lot of substance. I would be worried about who would be behind the scenes pulling his strings. We should learn our lesson from GW and the shadowy figures who are actually dictating policy in this administration.

Skeptical is right saying that the Clintons will be an easy target for the Reps. They are even too much for me.

Dr.Wu, why is it a disadvantage to be less experienced in being a politician? Obama’s age speaks for him, because he can’t be as corrupt as the rest of the other candidates. This is good – for the people.

IMO all politicians are corrupt; it's just a matter of degree. Obama does not have major support in Washington among others even in his own party except for Teddy and he's on his way out at his age. He doesn't know as many people as Clinton nor has he the connections and is less liekly to be able to make deals with Dems and Republicans because of it.
To get anything done if he's elected he;ll have to move towards the middle of the road. The moderate dems and conservative republicans will not go along with overtly liberal agendas and a president with no congress accomplishes nothing.

I hate to see John McCain fawning all over the conservative wing of the Republican Party. Granted, he has to solidify support among his own, but those arch-conservatives are what have gotten this country into so much trouble in the first place.

I was really sorry to see Mitt Romney drop out so soon. Don't know if he's looking to get an offer for VP or what. I'm afraid McCain will be forced to put Huckabee on the ticket. I'm sorry but I just don't think we need a retired Baptist minister as our second in command (although it's still a big step up from Dick Cheney). Sad

has anyone been watching him lately? Hes getting into one arguement after another, with Hecklers! Ive got an idea but its just an idea and no way to prove it,but Bill Clinton was being interviewed by Chris Wallace (son of Mike Wallace on Sixty Minutes) during this interview Chris Wallace reminded the former president how he was called The First Black Presdident, does anyone remember that? Only this time Clintons face clouded over,he regained himself momentairily and continued with the interview but I saw him cloud over. Then he makes his remarks in South Carolina about Jesse Jackson and Obama, then he got into an arguement with a heckler in the crowd (the heckler was a black guy) and Im sitting there wondering whats come over him,he even opened his office in downtown Harlem, remember that? All of a sudden its hitting me like a ton of bricks,Clinton at least Bill Clinton is furious that his much sought after black vote is going to Obama, for years the Clintons have cultivated a following in the black community only to see years of work slip away and Obama sweep the black community. All of a sudden I understand whats wrong with this guy,hes both jealous and furious at the same time, and its surfacsing. You know how that goes, the best laid plans of Mice and Men,I really think the Clintons thought at least the black vote was all sewed up for them, never counting on a Barack Obama in the mix.

Let's see if it happens when I post.
Clinton and Obama.

It was there before I posted and was gone after I posted. What the heck is going on?
