SNOW!

Well, the chilly White Death has dropped onto Southwestern Ohio. It has been snowing for more than 24 hours straight here. The local weather people say it won't stop until mid-afternoon. When all is said and done, we'll have more than a foot with drifts 2-3 feet deep. I grew up near Cleveland (which got 20+ inches, btw) so this doesn't bother me too much. I am concerned because my younger daughter, Skepilina was driving home from Spring Break in Florida. She and her friends made it into Kentucky and decided they'd get a hotel room and wait from the snow plows.

I'm reminded of a cartoon I saw in the newspaper the other day. A husband and wife were watching the snow fall and the wife comments that "at least this delays global warming for another day." Maybe that glass-half-full attitude will keep me warm when I go try to shovel this mess off my driveway. Cool

I'm glad it hit you and not me in northwest IN....... Wink

though we usually get a lot of lake effect snow since I'm just south east of Chicago.

Yeah Doc, you got the best of the snow.

We here in southeast IN, got around 8 inches. I wouldn't want to be where you are now Skep, you can keep all the snow.

Skep,your college basketball team is supposed to be meeting with UCONN at 4pm today,on the news this morning came the revalation that the bus with all the Ohio players is stuck somewhere in Ohio,no kidding,if they get in at all today the game is going to be at 8pm tonight,or if they cant make it until tomorrow its going to be at six on Sunday. Ya havent seen a bus with anxious looking players have ya?

btw,instead of all that snow Conn.is being hit with a ton of rain.

Well, the driveway is now clear and the sun is putting in a momentary appearance late this afternoon. The snow has moved off to the northeast where it continues to hammer Cleveland and points east. Carol - not sure if the snow will head your way but it seems likely. My daughter, meanwhile is hunkered down in Kentucky for another night. They've hooked up with friends at UK so I'm sure she's not suffering much. They'll try to make it the rest of the way home tomorrow.

wow Skep,the news is saying Ohio got twenty inches of snow,we got three inches of rain,Im hoping for an early spring this year,all the spring birds are back and the english sparrows are already cleaning out last years nest.Heres hoping,btw everyone dont forget to set your clocks AHEAD today.
