A couple years ago, I traded e-mails with a guy who was seeking information on a UFO crash that allegedly occurred in southeastern Missouri in 1941. I wrote him recently to see if anything more had been discovered but he has made no further progress on the case. If you'd like to know more, here is a link to his website:

It appears that the story of a 1941 crash originates in a book by Ryan Wood (who has a new book about MJ-12 out). Not sure that I have ever seen any reference to it elsewhere. I received an e-mail from another UFO researcher, Larry Hatch, who placed the case at the dark end of the gray basket.

Skeptical,
In Revelations Dr Vallee listed no less than 17 alleged ufo crashes. I'll ck to see if one was in that state.
He has many tales by witnesses of alleged encounters wth aliens who are seen repairing or working on ufos that have either landed or crashed. They eventually take off but in some of these very strange reports the witnesses actually hold a conversation with the 'aliens'. Some of these bizarre encounters can be found in Dimensions, Invisible College, and Messengers of Deception.
It makes for fascinating reading.
If you have never read these 3 books by Vallee I highly recommend them.

i just started reading Ryan Wood's book MAJIC EYES ONLY and he details more than 70 alleged crashes. He has a nice write-up about the Cape Girardeau case and it turns out this may have some credibility to it. Here is a link to a recent TV story on the case:

I will post a review of the book as soon as I finish. Unfortunately, I'm currently trying to read three books! Sad
