Unbelievable....our current admin of true patriots are going to sell advanced weapons to the Saudis because everyone knows they are our friends and allies.

What...no one cares that we are going to sell all this stuff to a country where the hijackers came from..? And who have schools teaching hatred of western values ....including Christianity.? Looks like we have hippocrits in the oval office.

The Saudis are scared stiff of the Iranians and, like it or not, they are one of the US's more dependable allies in the region. So, if you have a skittish ally, you sell them a little peace of mind, right? I don't think this is any great surprise. It's certainly not the first time we've tried to offset the trade deficit by selling arms in the region. And if we don't do it, I'm sure there are any number of other countries who would love to pitch their latest products.
Is it hypocritical? Probably. But, damn it, this is not an ethical world. Would you rather have the Saudi's flying MIGs and cozying up to the Russians?

It certainly isn't an ethical world ,here or over there. But the Saudis are not our 'friends' and anyone who thinks they are have rocks in their head. They are business allies when it comes to oil..no more no less. If that relationship changed for some reason we should worry about their Islamic position. If the radical islamic elements ever got hold of that country (and it could happen easily) they would have control of these weapons we are selling to the Saudis.
The simple truth is that the royal family like their western toys and wealth and are afraid that the more conservative Islamic groups might take that away from them but they are not in love with western ideology or Christian values or they would have had free democratic elections by now...and they haven't.
