Has anyone else ever heard the story of comedian Red Skelton's disconcerting glimpse into the world of precognition? Skelton was on the beach on afternoon in the summer of 1963. He was sitting in the sun writing for his very popular comedy series but soon nodded off to sleep. When he awoke, he was shocked to see that written on the pad he was holding (in his own handwriting) were the words: "The President will die this November in Dallas".

A good friend of mine, who is still working in radio in Dallas, interviewed Skelton back in the 1980s. My friend asked the comedian directly if this story was true. Skelton very seriously confirmed that it was.

I think the exactness of what Skelton wrote seems to rule out even the most extreme coincidence. For all intents and purposes, the sleeping Skelton seems to have tapped into some source of information beyond what we currently understand. Obviously this is an extreme case but I wonder how many of us could offer similar experiences where, for better or worse, we were provided with a piece of information in advance or at a distance.

Aside from the obvious question of how, the bigger question is why? Why was Skelton provided with this information? Why are any of us provided periodic glimpses of the superspectrum?

I've never heard that story before. I wonder what happened to that piece of paper. Something that strange should have been kept, I would think.
The paranormal is very hard to understand. It is so hit and miss.
Hard to understand how someone can know what is going to happen ahead of time. Maybe there is such a thing as the Akashic (hope I spelled that right) records.
