I have to admit that I am somewhat enamoured with technology. Apparently that was also the case in the U.S. military - they thought that all wars could be won by sheer force of superior hardware, communications and tactics. Well, it turns out that narrow focus was exactly NOT the answer in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Here is a very thought-provoking article from Wired that suggests it's plain old human relations that may finally win this awful war:

I certainly agree with the sentiment - sometimes the best weapons aren't ones that shoot.

Long article.......Skep can you give a short summary of what is main point is?
It seems like he's saying networking on social levels will change minds and cultural paradigms.
