Czars missing children ID'd in Russia

For decades, speculation was that some of the Czar's children may have survived the Russian Revolution of 1917. Just this week, however, bone fragments found earlier this year were confirmed to have belonged to a son and a daughter, thus accounting for all of the Romanoff children.

So what are we to make of Anna Anderson who went to her death claiming that she was in fact Anastasia - the Czar's eldest daughter? We can only assume that the woman must have believed the story herself. It makes me wonder whether there is a lesson in there for those of us who would put too much stock in questionable UFO witnesses who have told their stories over and over again for years. Is there a point where you tell a falsehood often enough that you finally lose track of what really is the truth?

How did they determine that from bone fragments?
Did they have dna from the children to compare?

Unfortunately, the stories don't go into a lot of detail, Scam. They must be able to do DNA tests because Anna Anderson's DNA test showed she was not a Romanoff. I believe there are also tests that cane be done to detect evidence of hemophilia, which also afflicted some members of the Czar's family.

One bizarre tidbit I picked up from an ABC News story, when the daughters were shot, many of the bullets bounced off because the girls had stuffed their corsets full of jewelry. Sadly, it just seems to have prolonged the end. A truly brutal chapter in Russian history. Sad
