Looks like we're having a return of some goofy messages from our Hosting Service. For example, after posting, you may get a message that says the post or topic doesn't exist. Rest assured that your post was accepted. Just ignore the message and click to return to the forum. The problem is affecting other forums and not just us. Support is aware of it and hope to address it soon.
let me know if you have questions or if things start getting really squirrelly.

I have to give these guys credit that they are trying to upgrade to the latest version of the software that runs this forum but going through this process is giving me gray hair.

This may sound like a mad question, but is this forum supposed to have background music? I've popped in twice today, and both times my media player (XMplay) started making weird drumming kind of noises on top of the music I was actually listening to. Has anyone else noticed this? _________________ Gef - the Eighth Wonder of the World

I added a little background music to the main portal page. It shouldn't be playing when you're on the actual forums page, however.
There is a stop button on the lower-level side of the portal page but, if the music gets really intrusive, please let me know and we'll get rid of it.

Thanks for the reply. I've found the button now. Is there any chance you could change it to being a button that turns the music on rather than off? It's really rather annoying having it turned on by default. Especially if you're on dial-up as I am at the moment - the music doesn't stream properly and just makes unpleasant scraping sounds. _________________ Gef - the Eighth Wonder of the World

Unfortunately, the default is ON, GA. I'll just get rid of it and see if we can come up with something better.
