Wow. UFOs have been replaced by Dr. Phil's opinion of Dog The Bounty Hunter. I'm now officially changing the ending of I KNOW WHY THE ALIENS DON'T LAND! _________________ http://www.cultureofcontact.com is LAUNCHED!

| Is Shirley MacLaine going to join them? Sounds about King's speed.

| JimO,Ive always got the feeling that ufos are something King only has a mild interest in.He did a show on Roswell whereby he had one of the original witnesses to events stand outside in a windy field and scream his answers as best he could,at one point Larry shouted at him that he hoped he felt better and that was that. This tonight might be of interest but you can bet in order to 'balance' it out theres going to be some humor thrown in,for everyone of us that finds this fasinating and incredibly interesting there are also those that look at the entire subject of ufos and aliens with dread. In order not to make any show seem like this is all fact with zero fiction theve got to throw a ringer in the mix. I do wonder what kind of e-mail Kings show gets after a ufo episode, are people tickled pink hes having a show on the subject? Are they angry for scaring the living daylights out of them? Does he get hate mail saying he must be crazy.Id love to see just what people in general have to say.

I watched the show tonight. I was most impressed with Halt and Penniston.
I listened to Penniston on C2C the other night and he is a very impressive and credible man, imo.
I thought the show was pretty good .....coulda done without Shirley McLaine...but I guess her appearance was to help draw a bigger audience.
The lone skeptic looked foolish and wasn't very effective, imo. _________________ "It's our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

| ok I watched,it was just ok. Shirley McClain, hmm,I loved a book she wrote called Out On A Limb, there was a made for t.v. show which was very very interesting, she had my attention, then she went on a talk show and said she made the whole thing up,Ive never listened to her since, but she is a fine actress. The rest of the show was the same old same old.

To be honest with you, I watched the show here in the UK, even though it was 2am. By 2:40am I had fallen asleep. What I did see of the show was that the " critic " was hopeless in his explanations. Almost everything he said made me think that he was planted there to ridicule the debunkers, he was that hopeless. Either that, or he was just too nervous being on a famous show in front of maybe millions of viewers.
And Shirley McClain? I'm not American, so I don't know why she was there. All I know is that she was an actress. Does she still act? She said she knew everyone she mentioned very well, ALL of them very good friends, but are they really? I don't know why, but she comes across as a bit of a kook to me. And of course she made sure her new book was plugged.
But not all was bad. I was especially interested in the guys from the Rendlesham Forest case. I believe that something strange happened there that night, and to go on live national Tv to speak about it showed a lot of guts IMO.
Anything interesting happen in the last 20 minutes of the show?

HopoUK:
Shirley McClaine was there because in her new book she says that Democratic Presidential candidate, Dennis Kucinich saw a UFO while at her house. He had some sort of communication with it. During the last debate, one of the moderators asked Kucinich if it was true he had seen a UFO at McClaine's and he said yes.
So that's why.
To be honest, I always used her as a punchline (which sucks because it turns out she's a big supporter of my Culture of Contact work.) This is the first time I've heard her speak on UFOs and I thought she was exactly on-point. So whatever reservations we may have about the messenger, she definitely gave a massage that you NEVER hear in the mainstream.
(Here I'm talking about when she said these beings aren't just technologically advanced but spiritually and fear is the hump we abductees have to get over, yada, yada.)
Something VERY interesting happened in the last 20 minutes of the show: King rolled out the obligatory debunker who sounded like a moron. I mean even Larry king was giving all the body language of someone who didn't believe this guy.
Basically what he said was he believes the military men from the Rendelsham Forest case are telling the truth, but that they are misinterpreting what they experienced!
It would have been one thing if he'd just come on and said, "Larry, they're lying." But he didn't. He said he believed them, just not their story. This makes exactly ZERO SENSE because part of the story is that a craft landed for 45 minutes, which they touched and jotted down the symbols they saw on it before it took off.
I mean really, what would they be misrepresenting there?
Insane and a first: The debunker objectively looked like bunk. _________________ http://www.cultureofcontact.com is LAUNCHED!

Jer quoted McClain,"(Here I'm talking about when she said these beings aren't just technologically advanced but spiritually and fear is the hump we abductees have to get over, yada, yada.) "
so fear is the hump eh,Shirley knows abdcutees does she? Fear is the hump interesting take,Ive only read such horror stories when I read a book about the holocost called QBV11. These so called entities could certainly make things a bit easier on their victims, for people like McClain to suggest that people have to get over the hump is ridiculous and its blaming the victim. This is rape folks, its kidnapping, its stalking, its terrorism in its truest form.Thats whats kooky about McClain, she lives in a country where acts exactly like these are against our laws, yet she wants the abductee to develop a new attitude and just accept it,phooey, americans dont just accept behaivor like this.As well they shouldnt.

Carol,
NOW your thinking on my lines....If there is an offense, report it. Abductions are criminal if in fact they did occur. If it was a mental process, then live with it but learn to understand it rather than just accepting "Aliens" are responsible.. _________________ SOMNIUM MENS est IANUA ut INFINITIO

I'll have to go back and take a look at the program, but at one point, pathological debunker/skeptic Oberg (I believe that's who that was: James Oberg) pretty much did call them liars. Not in those words: "you're lying" but awfully close.
(I say pathological, because, when someone persists , with such intensity, in terming all UFO sightings, with multiple witnesses, and not having been to the site themselves, as is often the case, as "misinterpretations" it ceases to be a mere neutral or skeptical view, it's outright pathological.) _________________ Visit the OrangeOrb
