If you occasionally have a hankering for a really bad 1950s sci-fi movie, may I suggest you try Invasion Cinema:

I just finished watching The Crawling Eye (aka The Trollenberg Terror). There are plot holes big enough to drive a truck through but it's fun for what it is. Better yet, I recommend Killers From Space. It has some great foreshadowings of the the classic alien abduction tale (repressed memories and even star maps!).

I love to watch some of those old sci-fi films. I haven't seeen the Crawling Eye for a long time. I'm not sure if I have ever seen Killers From Space but I'll see if the local video store has it.

I'm trying to think of that one with the big-headed, big-eyed little Martians with the needle-like claws they'd stick into humans' necks and bellies. Scared me half to death as a kid. Invasion Of The Mars People or somrthing like that.

I think it was called Invaders From Mars and there was a remake a few years back.

That's it. Thanks.

I watched both War Of The Worlds and The Time Machine on cable last night. Jules Verne night on American Movie Classics.

I love these old movies. My favourite one being " Forbidden Planet ". I'll never forget that giant lion creature. It scared me as a kid, LOL.

I also remember another movie that had a man and a woman flying in a plane and a UFO hovered over them and a beam of light pulled them inside the craft. There was a man with an egghead who took them to his planet. There they were attacked by a long armed, long fingered creature. A great B movie, but I can't recall what is was called.

Hopo - the movie you're thinking or is This Island Earth. You may also want to check out the Department 47 Shock Theatre thread in the Media forum.
