Yes, I'm a big fan of the number 9. Some years ago I noticed most of the numbers in the canon of "sacred numbers" are multiples of 9. A few examples would be 108, 144, 153, 432, 666, and so on. All of them can be reduced to the single digit value of 9 by cross-adding the individual digits. For example, 1+4+4=9. Or, in the case of larger numbers such as 666, 6+6+6=18, then 1+8=9. Surely, this was not simply by chance. Clearly, I thought, something else must be at play here.
About 10 years ago a silly little incident made me curious about the number 9 from a numerology perspective. I'd never been much of a fan of numerology because it didn't seem any more valid than the daily horoscope in the newspaper. It always seemed to me as if it was just too general in scope and, therefore, any given numerology interpretation could fit any number of people, just like those very general horoscope readings. But as I began to play around with words and their respective alphanumeric values I began to notice something that intrigued me. I began to notice a kind of synchronicity among certain words and phrases that had matching alphanumeric values. Of course, I reasoned, with all the words available to us it was obvious that many of them would share the same value. That being the case, then the matching values would simply be "coincidence" (i.e., by chance and therefore relatively meaningless) rather than "synchronistic" (i.e., as Jung would say, "meaningful coincidence"). So I decided to work with what I called "Case Related" words and phrases. That's when I began to notice what struck me as a real "synchronicity" phenomenon. Here's a prime example of what I mean:
JESUS = 74 = LUCIFER
I found it interesting that the names of the two religious icons representing polar opposites should have the same value.
Then I found this:
JESUS = 74 = CROSS = MESSIAH = THE KING
At this point I'm beginning to go, "Hmm..."
Noticing the word, CROSS, and then, going back to JESUS=74=LUCIFER, I remembered that in some satanic rituals it is customary to turn the cross upside down. This is in keeping with the notion of "reversal" which, as I seemed to recall, was in some way also a key aspect of the satanic philosophy. So, since CROSS=74, I wondered what would happen if I reversed the number to 47 and combined it with 74? The result was, again, intriguing:
47+74 = 121 = ANTICHRIST 
Now this got me thinking. I remembered that both Jesus and Lucifer are associated with the Morning Star in the Bible. Since Jesus and Lucifer shared the same value I decided to combine the two 74s and found this:
74 + 74 = MORNING STAR
So now I'm thinking, ok, maybe something's going on here. But, as you can see, none of this is related to the number 9. Or, at least it doesn't appear so on the surface. Having already been somewhat intrigued by the odd mathematical nature of the number 9, I decided to multiply 74 by 9. Here's what I got:
74 x 9 = 666
Well! Now, I thought, how fitting is that

I began exploring this 9 thing and the further I went with it the more intrigued I became. I was finding so many "case related" words and phrases with matching values that reduced to 9 that I was rather taken aback. Many, if not most, of these values were identical to the numbers one finds throughout the ancient sacred writings and incorporated into the architectural dimensions of sacred monuments, the Great Pyramid being perhaps the primary example. An interesting factoid: The Great Pyramid was originally covered with 144,000 sheets of highly polished limestone that reflected the light of the sun to such a degree that the Pyramid shone like a light that could be seen for many miles. Interestingly, the number 144 (a harmonic of 144,000) is esoterically associated with the concept of light.
In the following list of interrelated phrases, notice that most of the alphanumeric values are all reducible to the single digit value of 9:
NINE IS THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA = 234 = THE GREAT PYRAMID OF GIZA

Uh...that was a bit more info than I really needed.
I think other than usage similarities and some intentional aspects due to basic aspects like measuring , science, social convention, etc..that all of these connections are created from our minds and playing with the numbers in general. There probably were some intentional meanings originally but these days those connections are meaningless imo.
