The Japanese have been at the forefront of most recent humanoid robot development (most US robot seem to be more purpose-built) but GM and NASA have been working on a human-looking robot for use in both space and in car manufacturing plants. Here's the video:



This is definitely better than the giant-baby robot that the Japanese came out with lately - don't know if you've seen it but it's kind of creepy.
