Well, here it is October and time to go back and review those great science fiction movies of the 1950s. First up is It: The Terror From Beyond Space. If you think it seems oddly familiar, you may remember that this 1958 film was the inspiration for the 1979 movie Alien:

Here's installment number 2 - Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers. The special effects by Ray Harryhausen were terrific but the acting in this one - especially during the climactic battle scenes - is just... well... baffling! :) Oh well, it's still a lot of fun and a real window into the phenomenon and the paranoia as it existed in the mid 1950s:



The video window looks black but the movie actually plays. Hope you enjoy it!
