You vs. The Government..who wants to play?

Bruce just gave me an idea,howsabout we make up a scenerio.Ill put up the setting and you guys jump in anywhere you want to.Ok,here it is,two men I dont care who wants to be what just start by saying um,ImTheGovernment and the other one will be hmm.Howsabout Ufologist. Now youve got two men in a room comfortably seated in front of a roaring fire. Its about ninty here so this is taking all of my imagination. Now Ufologist has arranged a meeting with ImTheGovernment because hes threatend to along with friends to get the question of UFOs into a court of law,he receives a message urgently asking for a closed door meeting between him and a secret representative of the U.S.Government. Ufologist is going to try to convince government to come clean about all it knows regarding ufos.ALL of it.Everything. Government is going to plead his case as best he can as to the folly of such disclosure and how it will hurt the U.S. and the world,not help it.

Ok,Ive got a major thunderstorm brewing outside my window Ive got to shut down right now but if you want to play just tell us who you are Ufologist or Government and present your arguement. Yikes lighting.

I wish I had a nickel for every time you have brought up this same idea. You are becoming a parody of yourself.

The hard part about this game is thinking for a moment that the government would be the least bit worried about a lawsuit. I'm pretty sure that anyone worth his salt in the US Justice Department could get the case dismissed pretty quickly or tie it up so effectively with continuances so as to run the litigants out of money and/or time.

The only way the UFOlogist has a chance is if he has some type of hard evidence that would stand up in the court of science. If he had that, however, he wouldn't need a court of law.

ok here goes and its long overdue,hard evidence eh,like a piece of a flying saucer,have you ever asked a board such as this what they would consider hard evidence,its almost non-existant. To a man they will say a piece of a ufo,or a whole ufo,then what.What if someone trotted out a piece of a ufo,would we believe them?
What if we asked to see the data gathered from the ufo having undergone a battery of tests,do you know what would send us reeling,not that it contained 'unknown' material but if it had an alloy that was found right here on earth,because everyone knows or think they do that ufos can only be made of a substance not found on earth,thats always sounded a tad silly to me but there you have it.
