| Ive got on CNN and the Larry King show. The subject is Stephenville,I know,I thought this one was DOA.But people have been analyzing data from radar readouts and results are worth the watch.Check YouTube in a day or so this one is very very interesting. Seth Shostack is on the show too.I like this guy but man when they play the role of skeptics and ask the same old questions they add nothing to the show.

Ok Carol, I'll check it out tomorrow. Should be on Youtube then.
I've finally ditched an online game I've been playing. It's called Ogame, and it was taking up too much of my time, and leaving very little for anything else. So now I will be able to concentrate a bit more on Ufology, and my favourite online past-time of searching for those videos.
So you should see a bit more of me around here.

Thank you Carol. Me? Ditch you guys? Never.
My problem was that I would check back here every day, but usually didn't have time to make many comments. Though what some members talk about goes right over my head ( usually the scientific stuff, or the long comments where I can't be bothered to read it all ), I would would soon be itching to be back at the game, just in case someone was trying to attack one of my planets. It was getting to a point where I was losing sleep just to make sure that I was going up in the rankings.
So I just had to stop. Now I have much more free time.

well thats wonderful Hopo,I dont know if youve experienced this before but its not at all unusual for the boards to slow way down during the summertime. Were experiencing a heat wave starting today.I mean its going to be in the ninties. For me anyway thats going to cut down on my garden work except for watering. But,hey if theres no one posting theres not much we can do,so Im looking forward to your being here more.
Ahh,heres one of those videos I wanted you to see, this is the one with Seth Shostack, now Seth heads up the SETI project and Ive listend to him many time on Coast, but why oh why do they always bring on a Skeptic that plays the part with that grin on their faces, but forget the grin sit back and enjoy.

| Hopo, after you finish watching this latest video tell me something, now its early morning here in the states and Im making coffee and creating some noise of my own,but between the background music,(which I loath btw) and the quality of the sound at least for me sounds somewhat muffled,my husbands still sleeping so I cant turn it up right now,but all in all how is the sound on these sets of videos?

You're right Carol, it's just a rehash of what went on except for the radar data. I don't get Seth Shostack. He's working at a place that is looking for alien life, and yet doesn't believe that we are being visited. He's not a good person to have at SETI is he? And here I was thinking of going back to downloading that screensaver from them to help analize their data, the SETI@home program. Can you imagine him there if they find a signal? " It's one of ours bouncing back from Mars ", or whatever. This guy says he thinks there is life out there, but that it is impossible for them to reach here. I think that he should be removed from the project really. That place needs people with open minds, and he clearly does not have one.
As for the sound, it seems ok for me. It could be as you said, you had it turned down because your husband was still in bed, so you couldn't hear it properly.

Its odd isnt it Hopo, here weve got SETI a multimillion dollar project thats been going on for decades and Seth Shostack at first glance seems to scoff at the idea of alien life.On the one hand hes been doing something for years he believes in .But have us try to get him to just ponder the possibility that that same life has found its way here and you get this incredulous feedback. Its ok and even expected that WE find them, but its impossible that they have found us. I dont get it.Doesnt he and NASA realize that to get the public really interested in what there doing they got to spark interest for us? Today on AOL theres an interesting story about what theve found on Mars.
Here have a look. http://news.aol.com/article/images-suggest-water-once-covered-mars/86450?icid=200100397x0x1200281263
Nifty huh,but its not enough to excite the mind of the public.I mean to the point that we will all right checks to either of them and Seth Shostack is a perfect example of why not.I always get the feeling from this guy that he doesnt know what were talking about when a question is given to him about alien life having come here,he acts as tho he doesnt know a thing about it,now that I dont believe. But Ill tell you what he said one night that I havent forgotten.Someone called Coast and asked him (Shostack ) a question, it went something like,"If you found an alien signal would you tell the public?" And his answer sort of surprised me.He said no,no he wouldnt. What they would do is to notify other such groups around the world to first confirm the signal, and that would take time.Only after the signal was confirmed and verifyed would he then tell the public. Now Ive got a question of my own.Is Seti free to make this announcment or does it have to get someone in governments approval?

| Well, with it being privately financed, surely they wouldn't need permission? Then again, it only needs a visit from the government to hush it all up. I'm sure that SETI is being watched, just in case another WOW signal happens for real this time.

| amazing isnt it,that WOW happend how many years ago,and we havent heard from them since.I think that might be on purpose,if they ever sent that signal then all bets would be off.Right now if its true that we are being visited their holding all the cards including when and if they choose to reveal themselves. But the world does suspect that they do exist, and once youve actually seen them theres no going back.
