Russert was well-respected amongst broadcast journalists. I noticed that his colleagues and competitors across all news channels paid their respects with extensive coverage of his passing. I'm sad to see Russert pass because that means there is one less level head in the NBC news organization. Judging from their blatantly heavy-handed support of Obama, they are in desperate need of someone there who remembers that journalists are supposed to be objective.

| boy aint that the truth Skep,Ive never seen anything like this. They love Obama and have no problem relating that love, for now.Wait until the debates begin, its his weakest point I think.I remember when Russert oversaw a debate between Hillary and Obama and the other candidates. At one point Obama said,You know having to answer questions like these wastes our time,or something similar.I was floored, how else is the public supposed to know where he stands on the issues.Debates are going to level the playing field, not that Im crazy for McCain,Im not.
