I have to admit I too have a tough time with the whole hybrid gambit, Carol. I think it is natural for us to seek meaning in these alleged experiences. If aliens really are at work, however, there's a good chance we would misinterpret or flat out misunderstand their true intentions. The "we're here for your DNA" just smacks too much of bad science fiction.
Think about it: as advanced as we are, we are coming pretty close to being able to manipulate our own genes. Wouldn't you think that a race that has conquered interstellar, interdimensional or transchronological travel would have figured out something relatively simple like rearranging nucleic acids?
If Somer were still here, he'd be more than happy to tell you that folklore is filled with legends about our children being carried off in one way or another. I think this is just the 21st century equivalent.

| Skep thats always in the back of my mind,having read Vallee one cant help but think hes right on the money.Communication was very very limited back then,now we have people seeing these things in every country of the world.They may have presented themselves in the form of craft to make us think there from another planet when just the opposite is true.Sigh,this crap is just to much for my pea sized brain.

That's pretty much my take on it also.
If they are still doing so-called gene hunting /hybrid exps ,etc , then they are just bad scientists as Dr Vallee has said before. They could have gone to any blood bank years ago and taken all the genetic material they needed.
If they are real beings then it simply doesn't add up.....but if they are something else then who can say what they are doing.?
