I found this broadcast which might interest you. George P Hansen being interveiwed by psychic medium Marcel Cairo, so that in itself should throw up a few points of contention. It's a good (if long) interveiw. Give it a listen when you have time. I think I'm a little clearer on things, it's also thrown up a few ideas of my own which I'm going off to think about.

Thanks...I'll listen when I get the time.
I'm a big fan of Hansen's work on the paranormal and ufos. He knows many people in both fields and was a psi researcher for many years at both Rhine in Durham ,NC and at Princeton ,NJ. He has written many papers for various journals as well as his book.
I listened and thought it was an excellent interview and wish everyone here would listen .
My only complaint is that he wasn't asked about how quantum mechanics and probablity might figure into this.

It was a good listen, and Hansen was very erudite, cognisant and not at all partisan. His background and experience certainly make him a more suitable candidate than some to research this area. I found it somewhat reassuring that even he admits that the theory addles him at times.
I fell to wondering at one point whether the trickster phenomena is in some way a built in mechanism that ensures limitation to the totality of knowledge we can gain, like a psi version of the Tower of Babel. Just a thought.

That could be...it might be an inherent feature of Reality that limits our grasp on some things beyond human consciousness. It could be something built into the fabric of Reality and I don't mean by a designer per se but just a by product of what is.
