The first of the Department 47 coffee mugs are finally in. I think they turned out pretty well:
I wasn't sure what the demand would be so I only got four mugs in the first shipment. Carol has dibs on mug #1 and Scam is penciled in for Mug #2. That means a couple more are available for immediate delivery. Everyone else will have to wait 10 days while we order more.
The important part - they are $12 including postage for our US posters. Anyone in the greater global community will need to contact me so I can figure out what the shipping will be. As noted, we are selling these things as close to cost as possible so we can maintain our sterling reputation as a magnanimous, non-profit endeavor.
If you're interested, please PM me and I will give you the address to send your check or money order.
Thanks!

Carol - The initial order was small because I wanted to see what they looked like before I ordered a bunch. I think they turned out very well and I'm ready to order more as soon as we know what the demand will be.
For those who haven't already contacted me, just PM me for all the details.

Hmmm, I would like one of those, but I'm wary about what condition it would arrive in. It will have to go through the American postal service, then on to a plane, the through the British postal service. I'm scared that I will be sat here with some super glue, putting it all back together.
Still, it would look good full of tea by my computer.
So what would you use to protect the mug Skep?

| Hopo, thats a good question,my neighbor sent me a waterford crystal bell from Ireland. It came by mail and when I opened it it was wrapped with that bubblewrap it arrived in perfect condition. Skep,do you have bubblewrap? Our post office have padded envelopes,I think they give them for free.

Hey, they look good. I’d make an order for one or two coffee mugs if I were in America. The last time I had set a fellow member from the US (i.e.Jeremy) under the pressure to send me a package, it has taken ages until it came to the delivery. I'm not so much concerned about the shards that could arrive, but I know how much action it is to buy sth. overseas.
Anyway, thanks for the offer.

Hopo - I have done a little shipping of glassware for items I sold on E-Bay. I've got bubble wrap and air packs so I'm pretty confident we can get it to you in good shape. I will need to do some checking on what the shipping would be to England. Isis - I think we can get one to you fairly quick in Germany too.
Let me know so I can get our mug guy started on a new batch.

Doc, Scam and Carol - Mrs. Skeptical headed off to the post office with your mugs today. Hopefully you should have them by early next week.
I will note, however, that postage was significantly higher on these packages than I ever would have imagined - and it varied by the distance it was sent. In some cases, the postage was more than the price of the mug. As a result, for future orders, I will have to go the USPS and get an exact shipping cost before quoting any prices. Sorry!
